Electric motors are significantly more efficient than gasoline engines. Electric motors can achieve an efficiency rate of around 80 percent, while gasoline engines typically range between 30 to 35 percent. Electric cars need less than half the energy to achieve the same performance metrics as gas cars due to their higher efficiency.
