Dream Destinations: Fast Travel to Memorable Road Trips and Cities
If you could choose 4 places you have already visited and would like to visit again, which would they be? For me, those 4 places are Taiwan, Colombia, the USA, and Mexico. These are the destinations that not only filled my heart with joy but also offered experiences I am eager to relive as soon as possible.
Exploring My Dream Destinations
1. Gold Coast Australia
During my stay with my uncle, I found the Gold Coast not just a place to relax, but a city to explore. The warmth and welcome from the locals, combined with the vibrant city life, made it a memorable experience. Here are a few photos from my trip:
2. Toronto, Canada
In 2017, my visit to Toronto lasted 10 delightful days at my uncle's place in Mississauga. Whether it was exploring the city or taking a stroll through the countryside, every moment felt like a rare gem. Here are a couple of pictures to remember the trip:
3. Innsbruck, Austria
This scenic city with a rich cultural heritage was a cherished destination for my family in 2016. The scenic beauty of the Alps and the charming old town made it a truly unforgettable experience. Some photos I took during my trip are:
4. Switzerland
Visiting Switzerland with my family in 2010, the train journey to Jungfrau was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. The breathtaking landscapes and alpine views made it a memorable chapter in my travel diary. Here are a few photos from my Switzerland adventure:
Dream Away to These Far-flung Places
Now, consider the possibilities of teleporting to my dream destinations: Anse Royale Seychelles, Kyoto Japan, and Edinburgh Scotland. Let’s explore why these cities hold a special place in my heart:
1. Anse Royale, Seychelles
My wife and I honeymooned here, and it was love at first sight. While the soaring flight costs and the long journey deter us, the everlasting memories make it a priority to return. Imagine stepping through a portal to that tranquil beach!
2. Kyoto, Japan
A place of pure soul soothing, Kyoto would be perfect with just a few steps away, but a 11-hour flight and costly tickets make it a distant dream. Yet, the beauty of its temples, history, and traditions make it irresistibly attractive.
3. Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh is a love letter to my senses with its whisky, cheese, haggis, and beer. Its medieval charm and the friendly locals make it a must-visit for any traveler.
Why Urban Locations and Not Somewhere Remote?
Is everything on my list urban? You might ask. Would I prefer a portal to the Mongolian Steppe or climbing halfway up Aconcagua? While these remote areas would undoubtedly enrich my travel, the constraints of practicality and respect for these places play a significant role in my choices:
First, I’ve never been to these remote places. Therefore, they wouldn’t fit the criteria of something I’ve already visited. Second, cities offer the convenience of immediate access and interaction. Cities like Boise, Idaho, provide a balance between rest and adventure while allowing you to teleport in and out with minimal effort.
Remote locations require effort and planning, adding an element of excitement and adventure. Aconcauga and the Mongolian Steppe deserve more respect and effort rather than a simple teleportation. Seeing them and experiencing them firsthand would make the journey more rewarding and spiritual.
Thus, while I yearn for remote adventures, my current interests lie in the urban experiences I can fast travel to and enjoy.
