DISCLAIMER

The following descriptions represent our best understanding of the differences between Teradata SQL and DB2. There may be differences not currently identified, and as both products develop, the differences are continually being subject to change.

Teradata SQL and IBM Database 2 (DB2) are broadly compatible with each other. The compatibility, however, is not complete. This appendix describes the compatible features and differences between Teradata SQL and DB2 Version 3.0 and Version 2 Release 3.0. One known new feature in DB2 Version 4 is the addition of the outer join capability which Teradata SQL supports from Version 2 Release 2.0.
